The Yellow
Brit-Pop band characterized by typically British sounds, electric Riffs that do not renounce to a softer and more eloquent pop taste, Voce (Gianluca) and Chitarra (Francesco) that merge into an alchemic mixture that strikes straight at the heart, the two founders leader, both authors of texts and music, joins Claudio (drums) to complete a trio of different pop, electronic and indie souls.
Many views of their official channel YouTube, but it is live that the band is able to catalyze the attention and the energies of the public. Who Are?
The Yellow are a brit-pop band from Bari that only sings original pieces in English. The Yellow project was born in the winter of 2011 with the meeting between Gianluca Damiani and Francesco Loiacono, respectively the voice / acoustic guitar and the solo electric guitar of the group.
The two, coming from different musical experiences, decide to merge their different attitudes to give life to a new sound path. On the one hand the most classic British inspiration ranging from the Beatles to Oasis and Coldplay, on the other the influence of overseas rock in Creed style, all mixed with the indie attitude that characterizes their sound.
They produce the single "Thousand Lights" and the b-sides that compose it, so in December 2011 they perform at the Helix, in the Bari evening that sees them as protagonists also in local newspapers. They are then invited to perform in Paris by their French fans, who have noticed them through official YouTube and Twitter channels.
In the meantime they record their first tracks and produce their first EP "Yellow". In 2012 they continue their collaboration with the VIII Talento, where they share the stage with other artists becoming resident bands. They take part in the selections for the Sziget Festival, ranking first among the first-time bands for the public's satisfaction and collaborating with Jérôme Derèze and his project "Around the world in 3 minutes", a series of mini documentaries to which they lent songs to complete the storyboards. The holdings of summer 2012 are very rich, projecting the Yellow among the most requested emerging bands: the concert at the Summer Music Village 2012 aired in full by "Radio Città Futura", the performance in the amphitheater of the Ipercoop shopping center (area Japigia Bari) for the "music festival".
Recently the Yellow participated in the Superstage contest announced by the MEI to select the best debut band by popular vote. The contest saw the band triumph and be invited to Faenza for the related award. In winter 2012 they take part in the Controfestival 2012, a show organized by Controradio and perform for the WeLab at the NEW Demodè. In 2013 they participate in the final of the LucPhonic in Manfredonia, in the semi-finals of the Premio Maggio, they are guests of the genius Red Ronny in the program "Roxy Bar" and collaborate with the production studio OWTS of Guido Lioi and Marcello Magro (One Way Ticket) for the release of the first CD.
Winners of the MarteLive 2013 for Bari and finalists for the national selections of the Sziget Festival 2013 will perform on August 10th at the Sziget Festival in Budapest, in front of an audience of 4000 fans. Winners of the Giovinazzo Rock Contest, Finalists of the MAC 1.3 perform in the summer 2013 on the stage MamboStage of PugliaSounds at Gioa Rock and at the Giovinazzo Rock Festival
