WELLA and UNICEF offer children living in conditions of social hardship a better future, through education and vocational training.

An appointment of beauty and solidarity in over 400 salons Wella Professionals. May 8 will be dedicated to WELLA UNICEF DAY, day in which 1000 hairdressers will be busy to style their hair to all those who want to give a better future to the Brazilian boys in conditions of social discomfort.

The Wella "volunteer" hairdressers, in fact, will ask for a free contribution for each fold made, and will send the proceeds to UNICEF to pay the largest number of lessons for professional hairdressing courses. The proceeds from WELLA UNICEF DAY will be totally donated to UNICEF and will give the opportunity, to those who wish, to use “beauty” as a vehicle to build a better world.

The project:

In Brazil, WELLA and UNICEF work together to increase the social and professional development of more than 7,500 children in 1300 municipalities. • Developing their potential with training activities to improve communication skills, analytical thinking, academic performance and to learn how to use technology. • Cultivating their aspirations, with professional hairstyle lessons in fully equipped centers and with special training held by Wella stylists on site for 2 weeks. • Realizing their dreams, supporting them to find opportunities to enter the world of work and consolidate their professional skills through the Wella Professionals network.
